Default creating a rotating header of featured homes??

Ok, been trying to get my site's header looki like

http://www.yourhomeontv.com/

Very cool how it rotates featured homes in the header, and with the text, and click through. Really cool! Good job.

1. I downloaded the Featured Content Gallery plugin.

2. I activated it.

3. Then I tried adding on the page for the homes that I wanted I added "custom field", the category "header". and then inserted in the code there from the FCG edit screen.

Nothing happened

4. Then I got brave, and went into the theme editor, and thought that I might need to replace the html for "header" with the FCG. Big mistake the site went blank, saved it though and replaced it so it's ok.

I hate to sound like the newbie, but if this could be explained to me I am sure I could figure it out.

Thanks,
Joe Murphy
