Featured Content Gallery

Happy Holidays!

Can you refer us to a clear and concise thread on uploading images for a "Featured Post". I understand the home page will pull the first 5 Featured Posts as long as I indicate the category ID in the php file. I am just not sure about the image part (do you need to upload a large image file and create a thumbnail file) - I don't see any specific fields anywhere in the POST section related to this feauture/plug-in.
