Question Using a static home and removing redundant nav

Hi,

We're currently using the enhanced layout, but we have removed the featured properties and posts from the code. Rather than hard code the desired content into 'enhanced.php' is there a work around?

We setup a category to display the homepage post, except it displays an excerpt and we would rather have more of a traditional layout. Would we need to create a new template just for home page posts?

We also tried creating a 'home' page and selecting a static layout, but that creates 2 versions of 'Home' in the navbar and applies the normal page styling to our newly create home page.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Cheers,
RC
