automatic wp upgrade

hi there, i've been using chrome 2.0 for some time now. but the automatic plugins upgrade and system upgrade of wp has never worked for me. i've recently upgraded (using traditional method) to 2.9.1. at first, the auto plugin upgrade worked but after a while it didn't work again. now i still have to upgrade plugins manually one by one.

the other problem i've been having for some time is that every time i upload a photo using the flash uploader it gives me an error. i close the uploader and open it again, i will find the photo already in the gallery. any idea what errors i have made??

both problems weren't solved after upgrade everything to 2.9.1
