News theme stopped working

For some reason on one installation of the News theme (www.localspider.co.uk) when I add a new post to the blog, it wont let me add a thumb.

When I update the filename I have put against thumb when the screen refreshes the field is empty.

I have used a filename that is working but the same thing happens.

Anyone have any idea what setting or permission may have changed?

Sorted, I re added the meta field thumb and it is now working..... (wierd)
