Default amending the wrap to right height

http://arashmazinani.com

I'm struggling to get the wrap right, at the moment its not showing my and my current style sheet looks like this

#wrap {
background: url(images/wrap.jpg)none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
width: 981px;
margin: 40px auto;
padding: 0px;
position: relative;

}

If I remove the 'none repeat scroll 0 0 transparent' bit then the wrap will shoot over the header and continue going past that and also continue going past the footer.

I have designed the layout and for the blog including the header, navbar and footer to be 1450px in height.

The header is 200px in height, my footer is 75px in height and the navbar is 59 px in height.

So, if you minus the above heights from 1450px you're left with 1116px. I've designed the layout so I'll need the wrap or the space between the footer and navbar to be 1116px so it can fit all the content I've designed to be in there.

So how can I get the wrap to stay between the footer and the navbar and remain 1116px long?

I've used firebug to look at a blog which uses the church theme and has a similar layout to mine and that has a 'content wrapper', is one needed here? and what exactly is that?

I know it might seem a bit confusing the way I've described it so if you need further clarification just ask.

Thank you in advance
