Thumbnails Appear on Category page only?

Another question for the news theme. I've done some editing so that ENTIRE posts show up on my homepage... see: http://www.golfcrunch.com/

As you can see, if I had a thumbnail active for the post, that thumbnail would go at the top left of the post, and squish up next to the SAME image that highlights the top of the post. Not good... it messes everything up.

My question is this. Is there any way to specify a thumbnail for a post, so that it only shows up on category pages? Pages like this one: http://www.golfcrunch.com/category/news/
