Widgets stopped working - can't make any changes!

I've tried removing/adding/changing the widgets multiple times and they aren't updating at all. They were originally set up via the dashboard, and I had no trouble moving things around. Now no matter what changes I make in the dashboard, they aren't reflected.

I got rid of the home page left and right sections, but the sidebar code is still there in the home.php file - I thought maybe I had mistakenly deleted something for that, but nope...the home.php is as it should be, minus that left/right section. Everything else is there.
