Making corporate2.0 look like revolution?

Hi, I've bought both Corporate 2.0 and Revolution theme in the past. I've noticed that the Corporate theme is more modern in its widget support etc, but am more happy with the front-page layout and colour scheme of the Revolution theme.

I have tried to copy some of the header/footer/style.css files from revolution over to corporate and obviously made a big mess of things.

Would a patient soul please show some mercy on my attempts and offer me a few pieces of advise on where to begin either making Revolution theme a bit more modern, or on making Corporate adopt the layout and colour-style of Revolution?
