sub nav-bar

I'm sure that its obvious, I just don't see how to turn off the sub navbar or what triggers the categories to show up on the sub navbar. Can anyone simply enlighten me so I don't have to keep queuing through the various WP dashboard items? www.firebird-marketing.com/wordpress
