Attribute to Change from Full Page to Blog to Archive missing

When I click pages - add new - the regular interface appears but under Attributes all it shows are Parent and Order....it no longer allows which template to use - the whole thing is gone. Not only that, but its also missing when I go back to edit already existing pages. Any help would be great. Thank!
