Thumbnail problems

Hi there,

I can't seem to figure out how to get thumbnails to show.
I have my news category fof homepage bottom left features posts.
I cannot get any thumbnail images to show.

I have set the thumbnail size to 300x300
with the Allure options: Thumbnail dimensions (Width x Height)

also, in Media Settings for wordpress I have thumbnails set to
300x300

All uploaded images go to my uploads folder.
wp-content/uploads/

I see all the sizes and I can browse to the images.

I have no clue how to get this to work..
please help!
