Update to version 3.0

I downloaded the 3.0 Zip file (blackcanvas-24862) and I get the followng error from Word Press. I have Word Press 2.9.2.

Installing Theme from uploaded file: blackcanvas-24862.zip

Unpacking the package.
Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

I have been using 2.0 for a year with no problems. Is the update to 3.0 a good idea??
