Dynamic URL Redirect Help

Hi Everyone,

Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to use .htaccess to redirect dynamic php urls to my wordpress site.

Example:

I'm trying to redirect

http://myurl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=22

to

http://www.newurl.com/new-location

I've tried a variety of different .htaccess rewrites but I can't get it to work.

My server is running apache and I believe they have mod_rewrite installed.

Right now myurl.org is pointing to newurl.com giving me a wordpress 404 page when I try to access the http://myurl.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=22.

Any help would be appreciated!
