How do I Manually upload

Ok here is what I have been doing.

1. I set up a demo site on a different url address using wp 2.9 and lifestyle 4.0 works fine.
2. Began to make changes and updates.

Now I want to move it to a new url using my FTP program.

Today I

1. Downloaded WP 2.9.2 (fresh)
2. Uploaded my lifestyle theme (4.0) (works fine) (base template)
(did I need to do these steps?

Anyway do I just move my wp-admin; wp-includes folders over or what???
