Default Adding sitemap to theme

I am currently trying to optimize my sites which use the Lifestyle theme. I have been reading and it has been suggested that a sitemap link be added to the footer. I submitted to Google a sitemap and other search engines. It apepars this sitemap the documents are referring to looks like the Archives page on my sites which came with the theme. Is this correct? Do I need to set up a sitemap link on the bottom as well and if yes, how would I do this.

Thanks so much.

Darlene

My sites are Chit chat sites (e.g. michaeljacksonchitchat.com).
