Blog Page

The site I'm working on is:

I set up a Blog Page but can't figure out how to post in it so that a drop down box DOESn't appear as a "sub category" of the Blog Page???

I just want it to look like a normal blog, with the most recent posts at the top (like in the allure theme demo site).

This is probably simple but I'm missing something...PLEASE HELP.
