Default CSS and Custom Text Styling

Hello all!

I apologize for a rookie question but I am unable to figure out how to do what I want so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. :-)

I am trying to put a few custom text styles within the posts/pages themselves via CSS and am not having any luck.

For example, when posting on a page I might want one paragraph to be a bold dark green and another a normal dark blue. I also might want to make a h1 header with a different font family than the normal WordPress/Streamline font.

I am still learning CSS but can't seem to figure out how to go about making this work. Again I apologize if this is a total rookie question and appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks so much in advance!
