Single Post Template plugin

Hello,

When adding a new post we no longer have the option to select Blog or Listing Post.

We have tried a few things but no solution yet:
The Single Post Template plugin the plugin didn't exist. So we downloaded it and uploaded the most recent version of the plugin to /wp-content/plugins when that didn't work we tried /wp-content/themes/agent_20/plugins

The plugin won't activate.... "Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error."

This issue began when we updated the latest version of WordPress.....are there a theme updates required? Please Advise.
