Default Tool Tip text not appearing in carousel images

I note that others using the Office theme have the tool tips appear when one hovers the cursor over an image. All I get in mine is [captionid=

How do I set that text? I've gone in to the media library and made sure that the images have the title, caption and description fields all completed but still nothing appears.

Any tips?

PS. I presume that this is where we are meant to post queries? I went back to where I posted my original query in the tutorials and customization board but there is no button to post a new topic there. Is that right?
