2.7 Plugin Issues

I'm trying to use the core WP Plugin automatic upgrade (not the WPAU) and I cannot seem to get it to work properly. It cannot remove the plugins properly and it does not ask for my FTP password any longer (seems logical that it can't remove the directory properly, eh).

Does anybody have experience with the 2.7 Plugin management features?
