thumbnail images--can't get 70x70

thumbnail images--can't get 70x70

I've tried resizing to as close to 70x70 as possible. I've tried not even bothering with resizing. I mark the '70x70 thumbnail' option on the image page, but still, my thumbnail images are all different sizes, and they all look like they're larger than 70x70. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

My alternative plan is to just do away with the thumbnails altogether, or perhaps just do a default image. I'm spending a lot more time on the images that I would like to.

Any suggestions/comments/advice appreciated. The site is www.fitnessoverforty.org.
