Jumping to a spot in a page

Jumping to a spot in a page

I have a long page containing a list of alphabetized links. I would like to put the alphabet at the top of the page and allow users to click on a letter in the alphabet to jump down to a spot on the page. How do I do that? How do I create links within a page?
