Cannot remove "Read More Posts.." from Homepage

Cannot remove "Read More Posts.." from Homepage

After deactivating Featured Picture Content Gallery, an empty post reading "Read More posts from this category" appears on the homepage (to the left of the chosen "Notices" post). I cannot find the origin of this unwelcome post (which links to a non-existent page) and would like to delete/remove it.
