Default Video Not Appearing After First Viewing

Hi guys. A little problem I'm hoping you can help me with!

I'm putting videos on my site using a standard <object> tag. When I test the page to see if the video loads okay, everything looks and works fine. But if I then try to view it again on another occassion the video/video player won't load. The loading bar just ticks along very slowly, and there's a big space where the video should be.

And weirdly, if I click on a link in an email to the page that won't load, it works every time without fail. Someone said it sounds like it's "caching," but I don't really know what that means.

What can I do so that the page and video load every single time?
