A good event registration plugin?

Can anyone recommend a good event registration plugin?

Advanced Registration Pro looks like a possible candidate, I hope there is some one with handson experience..

I do not need calendars or payment options, but need to be able to edit the attendees details in the backend.
Export of the data to excel would be good as events will need lots of lists, badges etc.

Data collection could easily be done with Gravity forms, but alas no backend edits..
