Default 160X600 Banner Ad Conversion City Theme

I noted some questions about pulling ads in from other sources with some examples of code which is awesome, since i'm not a coder that may very well come in handy later. The codes currently being pulled in are unfortunately 160x600 so they immediately go outside the typical format of the template. Would someone be so kind as to explain in
"novice terms" what i might do to correct this problem. I attempted to manually change the code provided from 160 to 120 from the source code and crossed my fingers.. But the ad just stopped displaying. Any thoughts or will this require some rewrites in code and css? Thank you for the help as many defaults are 160 and others I expect will have similar questions,

cheers,

Robert "Butch" Greenawalt
