Trying to get an Event Plug-in to work

I am trying to get an event calendar plug-in to work on this website. The plug-in designer is asking me questions I cannot answer and I was hoping someone here could help. The plug-in is AlieneilA Event Calendar. I am being asked:

"I still don't know why it is happening exactly with my plugin and not others for you, I've been reading posts and articles I found on Google where other plugins have had similar issues when the database prefixes have been changed. Can you confirm in your database that the table _alevents and _almailer have the same prefixes as the rest of your Word Press tables? "

When I wasn't sure where to find this information this was the reply:

"You have to have access to your databases through something like phpMyAdmin, some Web Server control panels have Database Admin's, but they all mostly use phpMyAdmin..."

Is there someone that can help me understand this? I cannot get access to the settings or add new event with this plug-in. I have disabled all the plug-ins and added one by one, this one first. When I activate this plug-in I still cannot get access to settings or add event.

I'm perplexed!

If there is another plug-in someone could recommend that would do a list of events by date, that would be great also!
