Category Anomaly

I work with the new TV Themes and have been having problems with grayed out/unavailable categories. I'm probably missing something small. I've deleted the unavailable category and re-created it from scratch--and it works for a little while and then becomes grayed-out again. It's really weird. It won't let me add posts to it. Any help would be appreciated!
