Issues with Magazine Theme

I am having problems with the Magazine theme I purchased recently. When using the "Magazine Them Options" link and I try to turn off the "Sidebar eNews & Updates" form it says setting saved. However it blanks out all my options and that setting still appears to be on. I then go to the site and get the error "Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/content/a/d/m/admin0911/html/mkcjames/wp-content/themes/magazine_10/home.php on line 7". I can no longer save or change any settings in the "Magazine Theme Options" I have to reinstall the template and start over. This has happened twice already. Help!
