box displaying categories and tags

My client doesn't like the box at the end of posts that displays the categories and tags.

1) Is this info actually useful to users? If so, I will convince her to keep it.
2) If not that useful, how can I hide it?

Example: "Filed under Children and Youth, Featured Content · Tagged with addiction, children, recovery, SpiritWorks Foundation, VA, Williamsburg, youth" on http://www.spiritworksfoundation.org/?cat=7
