Move sidebar widget to left of page

Hey there - I just added a custom menu widget to display my navbar and I really like the results, but I'd prefer to have my navbar on the left side of the page and my content/postarea to the right of the navbar. I've tried playing around with margins, floats, alignments but to no avail..any direction/help on how to reverse my widget and content/postarea would be much appreciated!
