Theme changes and widgets not changing -weird things happening

When I am changing widgets, and adding html codes and badges and images or any changes in Metro, they are not showing up. I am having some very odd things happening.
This is on multiple sites and using 3 different computers with XP, Vista and Win 7.
So I do not understand what is happening. No matter how many times I refresh or ctrl -r it shows the old sidebar and now it is showing the messed up sidebar, but in the widget section I cannot even see the text widget! Then I tried to add a calander widget just to see what happened, and now it shows no widgets at all.
(though on the site there are 7)
