CPU Usage

Hi

Not sure if this the right forum but.... I am currently on Bluehost and have started having massive problems with performance. Bluehost have told me that it is due to throttling/cpu usage. This doesn't really make sense to me as I ahve a very small site, a limited number of plugins and low traffic but, i have done everything i can to fix the problem - but to no avail :(

Are there any recommendations/tips regarding fixing cpu usage - or is it worth looking at a different provider (although I am reluctant to go through that pain unless it is really worth it)

Any thoughts, comments, tips would be greatly appreciated. Having the wp admin pages timing out and not loading properly is driving me nuts
