I've taken a very different approach to starting up a classifieds website. I think it's quite brilliant :)
Instead of using posts as ads I've made each comment an ad. this way I can use askimet to stop any bogus ads! I've got every suburb in the Perth Metro area categorised by local shire/suburb (I paid a guy to make me a script to get this categorised) The SEO is pretty good too as I rank very well in google when someone searches for "their suburb" and "classifieds" http://perthmetro.net/ Let me know what you think about this way of using WordPress :)
