I was using the Metric child theme in a sub folder and wanted to move the site to the root folder. The actual moving of files went somewhat smoothly (with the possible exception of the index.php file). I then changed the database url to reflect the new root folder and still cannot connect to the database. I think the index.php file may have been improperly transferred. Is there a way to start with a clean file and configure wordpress to see the database which now contains my entire site? The site url is http://freehandwebdesign.com.
