I recently installed a StudioPress theme on 2 sites I own - my primary domain and an add-on domain. All seemed perfect until I discovered that one of my other add-on domains (one without wordpress) is redirecting to my primary domain.
For my 2 StudioPress themed sites, I installed wordpress in a folder for each domain, then created a redirect from the root domains to the folders (I did this to keep my original sites intact while working on the wordpress installations) My sites are configured like this:
Primary domain: abc.com - redirects to abc.com/home (with wordpress)
1st add-on domain: xyz.com - redirects to xyz.com/home (with wordpress)
2nd add-on domain (without wordpress installation): 123.com incorrectly redirects to abc.com
I contacted my hosting company and was told that the problem is not the redirects, but Wordpress - apparently it does weird things with redirects. They are looking into solutions, but this will take 24-48 hours! I'm considering just moving the wordpress installations to the root domains, but worry that this will be a hassle & create more problems.
In the meantime, has anyone heard of this issue, and if so, do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks in advance.
