Genesis Marketing

I troll the forums from time to time and use them to learn about genesis on a semi regular basis.

One thing I've noticed is that (at least recently) there have been a number of posts relating to customization where someone is trying to edit the Genesis theme.

Perhaps an approach of marketing the framework by itself towards developers and the framework + a starter theme towards Genesis/WP beginners might be a good idea.

That would cut the support time down and allow you to market more directly towards each category as the framework gains popularity in the WP community. I get the feeling that many of the people working on the genesis framework and the Sample Child theme may be doing so because of the current economy and trying to cut costs; without understanding the time involved in customizing the genesis/sample child theme rather than starting with Genesis and a Child theme.

Just a thought for what it's worth.
