ByfordWA is a local community website with Free Classifieds, Local Business Directory and Real Estate listings for Byford and surrounding areas. I've used the classic News theme as I find it too hard to work with Genesis (I like all my theme files in one place). There's a heap of areas that can be easily changed/updated via widgets or custom fields or page content etc making it very non-techy proof. I've used a fair few plugins to achieve this and found a couple of plugins that didn't work due to conflicts or other reasons... namely 1. wp-postviews 2. pretty much all the "php in text widgets" plugins but a hunt around found other plugins that did the job... I love the shear volume of plugin choice with WordPress! The header can still change to an image if wanted but now it's in the centre like the current text header. I have to make special mention of Justin Tadlock's "Get The Image" plugin... this plugin is absolutely awesome and In combination with "Additional image sizes" by Walter Vos completely removes any use of having to use TimThumb. Any feedback/suggestions gratefully appreciated and particularly regarding layout to maximise exposure of the different sections (Business listings, News, Classifieds, Photos etc.) cheers, Pete
