List of posts inside a page

Hi folks,

I'm using the Corporate child theme and here's my situation ...

I have a page with some introductory text. Underneath that I would like to have a list of posts appear from a specific category.

I know how to create a page template showing posts but:

How do I get it to show posts from a specific category (where the catid is stored in a field on the page)
How do I get the page content itself? What is the php call for that?
