I hope this isn't a dumb question:
-On one of my pages, using the Office Theme (which doesn't matter), I'm probably going to bring in some flash in the body of the page. This will be a swf file that will be using an xml file that will probably be placed somewhere in the same hosting account. My question is concerning security. Does the use of an xml file make it easy for someone to hack into my WP site? Or, does it not really matter because the folder the files will be placed in will be read only folders? Or, would it helped if I used an xml file; for it to be from an external host somewhere else? Thanks for any additional info that would help me understand the other factors that are relevant here. I'm kind of guessing at some things that have me a little concerned. *Also, along the same lines. If I added in the body of my WP page, some spry effects where there's a tabbed menu (using Dreamweaver). Would putting a Spry Assets folder in a location on my host cause a vulnerability within my site? I mention it, because I'm assuming that the code that creates the tabbed menu would call the spry files within the Spry Assets folder. Again, thanks for your help and patience as I barely know what I'm talking about as I'm learning. Thanks. -Tony :) |
