WP admin & website pages slow loading

Genesis Framework 1.3
Using Enterprise Theme

I just downloaded and installed WP & Genesis this week. I'm finding the WP admin panels (even the login page) load very slowly...about 8-12 seconds, sometimes longer. I've been running into timeouts in WP where it says a 30 second limit has been reached. The client website I am developing loads at about the same rate.

Explored whether it was my computer/ISP/connection, but have ruled that out. I've had others try to load the pages at their workplaces with high-speed internet and they also get the same load times as me.

Was on the phone with web hosting company this morning for quite awhile. They looked into it but nothing they tried resolved the issue.

Could you please tell me if these load slowly for you?
