Unable to access wordpress dashboard

Default Unable to access wordpress dashboard
Does anyone know what would cause a 404 error message after entering username and password while logging in to wordpress? Everything was working fine up until a few hours ago. Now when I try to login, I get a 404 error message.... no more dashboard. I can tell that I'm logged in... I can see the Edit option at the end of the pages/posts. When I click on one of the pages and try to enter the dashboard via the "edit" link at the bottom of the page, again I get the 404 error instead of the dashboard. The only thing that has changed between this morning when it was working and now is that the web hosting company did a PHP upgrade. As for plugins, I'm only using one on this site; contact form.
