Theme Recommendation Request

We're currently using Church at www.GameSalute.com and we'd like to upgrade the template or replace the theme.

We're looking for a recommendation on a theme that will allow images to appear on the main page before each story (see Kotaku.com for a similar example). We'd also like to be able to page from story to story, rather than having to go back to the main page as the current theme requires.

We'd like site-wide banners on the top right (horizontal as currently exists), a slot for featured video in the top right (as shown in the Church demo at http://www.studiopress.com/demo/church.html), and a square sized banner (also as shown in the demo).

Can we just upgrade Church (it looks like it allows images in the newest version) or is there another theme that would be better suited?

[P.S. I thought of this as a general request for guidance on which theme to use, but if it's more appropriate in another section for specific Church support, please feel free to relocate it.]
