Default St. John's Lutheran Church (Church theme)

I'm rolling out a new version of our church site based on WordPress and the Church theme, and I'd appreciate your feedback. I'm interested in your thoughts on the design, of course, but also on the structure, and the use of categories within the site. Basically, whatever feedback you can provide would be helpful and appreciated!

Right now (as of 2/7/09) the prototype is being developed at:
http://www.stjohns-lc.org/wp

The original page (hand coded by a former empoyee, and neglected for about a year) is currently online for your comparison at:
http://www.stjohns-lc.org

I hope to make the WP site officially live within a few weeks, so if when you read this post the WP is no longer at /wp, try the main domain.

Thanks in advance!
-B.
