The header on this Rev. 1 blog -- example.com -- says there is a 302 redirect (below). The blog has been punished by Google in the serps. I have no idea why. Trying to rule this out.
1. I don't know where the 302 is coming from. The URL in general settings is the non-www. There is nothing in the .htaccess regarding a redirect, 302 or 301. No redirects on the domain name at the host. Where is this coming from? 2. Can I just overrule this with a 301 command in the .htaccess or am I asking for more trouble. 3. Webmaster Tools is no help. #1 Server Response: http://www.drkatrinawood.com HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.1 302 Moved Temporarily Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2009 01:52:20 GMT Server: Apache X-Pingback: http://drkatrinawood.com/xmlrpc.php Location: http://drkatrinawood.com/ Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Redirect Target: http://drkatrinawood.com/ #2 Server Response: http://drkatrinawood.com/ HTTP Status Code: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2009 01:52:20 GMT Server: Apache X-Pingback: http://drkatrinawood.com/xmlrpc.php Connection: close Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 |
