Want to Repost Lost Posts with Date in Past

I lost about 2 months worth of data when a few things when wrong on my site, including the automatic backups. I do have the content on my computer I can repost, but we have 'daily devotionals' for example that I'd like to "repost" but with the original publication date so people don't get confused.

Essentially, I am looking for a plugin like this Pre Date Future Post
but it is not working on my site. This option "A new section will appear below the post text called "Make Post Public Date". - never occurs.

Anyone have any ideas for a plugin or another way of being able to post some new posts with dates in Nov and Dec of 2010? (yes, 2010, not 2011)
