How do I replace he featured content gallery with a new item

I was to replace my featured content gallery with a widget I have from my IDX company. All I have for my new widget is a HTML code. I see where the featured content gallery is coded in on home.php but I am assuming I can't just ersase that and replace it with some html code. Any thoughts on how I should go about this? Here is the code if needed:
