Default Floating the sidebar

If you look at a sample page in the 'Church' theme you will notice that the content area is on the left and the sidebar is on the right.

If you have a single widget in the sidebar (ie a short sidebar) and lots of content in the content area you will have a large empty space below the sidebar.

I would like to wrap the content so it fills the area below the sidebar.

I have attached an image of a WP site that does this.

Has anyone been able to do this?

Thanks.
