changing color in bottom blog box

I found info on changing most of the color I want but not for the bottom box that hold the 7 blog type posts. Can anyone direct me to the image or css change that needs to be made?

Also, from a previous thread, it appears that the header and bottom border of the carousel is changed only through the image but the bottom footer border is changed in css. Do I understand that right?
